1372174 Exploration/mine-hunting craft SPERRY RAND Ltd 19 Oct 1971 [23 Oct 1970] 50478/70 Heading B7A A marine craft having twin hulls 1, 2, a substantially uninterrupted silhouette and propulsion unit 4 can be manually controlled or remotely controlled by equipment in compartments 7 and 8. A carrier device 16, adapted to be carried on board the vessel or towed underwater by cable 37 and controlled by the vessel, has one or more mountings 33 for exploratory equipment 27, 28 and/or other equipment 31. The carrier device is raised or lowered by winch 13 and motor 14 and in the embodiment shown equipment 31 is a weapon to hunt a mine 38.
