Abstract

1372102 Glass containers ANCHOR HOCKING CORP 21 Oct 1971 49095/71 Headings B8F and F31 A glass article, e.g. a bottle 16, is encircled by a sheath 14 of heat shrunk plastics which embraces part of the bottom of the article, to protect the article against abrasion. The sheath may be printed with indicia 18 and so serve as a label, and may be of polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polypropylene, or polyethylene terephthalate. The sheath may be coloured and contain ultraviolet absorbers.
