Abstract
1372099 Leaded steel LASALLE STEEL CO 3 Dec 1971 [3 March 1971] 56308/71 Headings C7A and C7D A leaded steel containing up to 0À35% Pb and 0À01-0À5% rare earth metals, the balance apart from incidental elements and impurities, being Fe is made by a process wherein the Pb is added to the steel before or after the rare earth metal addition.. The claims also cover a shaped component, of a steel of the above composition, when subjected to stress at 400-900F. The rare earth metal addition increases the ductility of leaded steels in the temperature range 400- 900F.
