Abstract

1371593 Diaphragm pumps A PIERBURG AUTOGERATE BAU KG 13 March 1973 [6 July 1972] 11940/73 Heading F1A A diaphragm pump comprises two or more diaphragms 13, 14 reciprocated 90 degrees out of phase by a crank-shaft 37 acting via an oscillator member 31 guided at 32 and attached to the diaphragms at 20 and 27, such that the attachment points 20, 27 move along an elongated loop during each crank-shaft revolution. The diaphragms are connected to members 19, 26 pivotably connected by pins 20, 27 to member 31 and slidably guided by pins 23, 30. Guide 32 either comprises a fixed pin 34, as shown, or a ball, roller or part-spherical member rotatably mounted in the pump housing and having a radial bore slidably receiving a pin attached to member 31, Fig.2 (not shown). The pump is supported by vibration-damping devices 39, 40.
