Abstract
1370896 Core-box TOYODA JIDOSHOKKI SEISAKUSHO KK 7 Sept 1971 [7 Sept 1970] 11426/74 Divided out of 1370895 Heading B3F A core-box for forming the core disclosed in the parent Specification 1,370,895 which has a main core-body moulded around an auxiliary member 5, comprises a plurality of members 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, (15), 16 mounted for movement from off-service positions (not shown) to inservice positions where they define a coremoulding cavity. At least one of the core-box members, e.g. 14 is shaped for holding the auxiliary member 5, e.g. by lugs 7, 7<SP>1</SP> and at least one of the core-box members 16 has bores 25 into which sand/resin mixture can be blown. Electrical heaters (not shown) are located in the core-box members for curing the sand/resin mixture. The core-box members may be moved by hydraulic or pneumatic motors in the direction of arrows A, B, C, D and E. To hold the auxiliary member 5 in the core - box during moulding, press - pistons 128 (Fig. 6) covered with fibrous asbestos 28 are pushed by fluid motors (not shown). Instead of lug 7, 7<SP>1</SP> bores (not shown) can be formed in the auxiliary member 5 which co-operate with pins (26, not shown) on the core-box members.
