1370557 Railway vehicle undercarriages SOC D'APPLICATIONS GENERALES D' ELECTRICITE ET DE MECANIQUE 13 Nov 1972 [24 Jan 1972] 52255/72 Heading B7L A railway vehicle comprises two hydraulic jacks 6, 7 arranged on either side of the vehicle between its body 1 and a bearing assembly 2, each jack being fed by a respective hydraulic generator 8, 9 which includes at least two (three as shown) pistons 10a, 10b, 10c and 12a, 12b, 12c, each piston being individually driven by a respective driving device 11a, 11b, 11c and 13a, 13b, 13c adapted to drive in the piston over the whole length of its stroke, thus displacing a particular volume of hydraulic liquid towards the associated jack 6 or 7 so as to change the inclination of the body 1 relative to the bearing assembly 2, and each driving device being individually controlled by means 14 in response to the vehicle speed when negotiating a curve and/or the direction of a curve being negotiated by the vehicle in use. Each jack 6, 7 may be replaced by several jacks all connected to the associated hydraulic generator 8, 9, and another such bearing assembly with its own such system of jacks and generators may be provided at the other end of the vehicle. The driving devices may be constituted by hydraulic circuits fed by a high pressure circuit (43) and a low pressure circuit (44), and controlled by three position electro-magnetic distributer valves (49a, 49b), Fig. 2 (not shown).
