1277831 Power Steering ZAHNRADFABRIK FRIEDRICHSHAFEN AG 17 Aug 1970 [19 Aug 1969] 39549/70 Heading B7H In a variable ratio steering device two mutually coupled selectively, (e.g. manually), operated changeover valves 9, 10 have a first position A, Fig. 1, in which pressure medium delivered from the servo pump 4 is fed as one part via a control valve 5 and control pump 6 and as another part via a switching valve 8, by-passing the control valve 5 and control pump 6, to servo motors 11, 12; and in a second position B, Fig. 2, of the changeover valves 9, 10 the total pressure medium is directed via the control valve 5 and control pump 6, by-passing the switching valve 8. Further servo motors may be arranged in pairs.
