Abstract
1361861 Hydraulic control circuits; controlling pumps SALZGITTER MASCHINEN A G 2 Aug 1971 [1 Aug 1970] 36264/71 Headings F1A and F1P In a hydraulic motor control circuit wherein a constant delivery pump 15 supplies through distributing valves 25, 26 double acting motors 28, 29 and a variable delivery pump 17 supplies through valves 93, 94 vehicle propulsion motors 97, 98 and wherein both pumps are driven by a common motor 10, the flow output of the variable pump 17 is controlled by rod means 55 responsive to the delivery pressure of both pumps. Rod 55 is connected to one end of spring-biased stepped piston 53 having one area 59 subjected to the delivery of pump 17 and another area 63 subjected to the delivery of pump 15. The spring 57 reacts against a null piston 73 of greater area than areas 59, 63 and subjected to variable pump delivery through a throttle 76. In operation, and assuming the vehicle to be stationary and motors 28, 29 active, the constant delivery pump pressure in lines 67, 65 urges piston 53 to the left thereby reducing the output of pump 17 to zero. With motors 28, 29 inoperative and with pump 15 connected through a valve 40 to the output line 37 of pump 17 and with valves 93, 94 open and affording maximum flow at low pressure to the vehicle wheels the fluid pressure on piston areas 59, 63 is overcome by spring 57 and the rod 55 moves the pump 17 to its maximum flow output position.
