Abstract

1370299 Clamps for workpieces SEWFOR MATIC Ltd 16 Dec 1971 [16 Sept 1970] 44227/70 Heading D1G In a work holding template for a profile stitching machine and comprising upper and lower planar members hinged together at 3 and each having a needle slot 16, each member comprises two parts 4, 5 which may be moved apart and an insert 17, 18 which interengages with the parts 4, 5 to adjust the size of the template. As shown the parts 4, 5 and insert 17, 18 have interengaging tongues and grooves which when assembled provide a slot 25 interconnecting the parts of the needle slot 16 and the part 4 has two cylindrical members through which pass parallel rod-like extensions 12, 13 of parts 10, 11 secured to the part 5. The insert parts 17, 18 have semi-cylindrical members 19, 20 for engaging the extensions 12, 13. Upstanding guide members 38, 39 are provided for alignment with respect to a profile stitching machine.
