Abstract

1369212 Endless scraper conveyers WHEWAY WATSON Ltd 22 June 1972 [22 June 1971] 29094/71 Heading B8A A scraper assembly for use in a chain conveyer comprising transversely extending scraper bars consists of a scraper bar 10 connected at its ends to spaced parallel chains by a pair of coupling blocks 20. Each block has a fork portion 21 for co-operation with a web 11 of the bar 10, a pin 17 being an interference fit in the fork but fitting with clearance in the web 11. A horizontal chain link 31 is retained in a slot 23 of the block by a pin 27 and recesses 26 are shaped to conform with the end portions of vertical chain links 32, 33. When driving the scraper bars, force is applied only by means of the surfaces of the recesses 26 in engagement with the link 32 or 33, depending in which direction the conveyer is operating.
