1323860 Endless-tracks for vehicles SKEGA AB 6 April 1972 [6 April 1971] 15894/72 Heading B7H A track segment for an endless-track vehicle comprises a block 2 of polymer material having cast-in longitudinal traction chains 3, and spaced transverse bars 4 for transmitting driving power from driving wheel teeth received in tooth gaps 6 to the chains 3, each transverse bar 4 comprising two spaced transverse pieces 7, 8 embracing a link 11 of each chain 3, the transverse piece 8 nearer the ground-engaging surface of the track being cast into the block 2, and the other transverse piece 7 being supported by tooth engaging intermediate pieces 15 extending between longitudinally consecutive tooth gaps 6. The transverse pieces 7, 8 are secured together by screws 10 and their facing surfaces have recesses 9 corresponding to the shape of the chain links 11 which may have a rectangular configuration differing from that of the normal links 13 as shown. Each intermediate piece 15 has recesses 16 which receive the transverse pieces 7, 8. Flanges 14 at the ends of the transverse piece 8 abut the intermediate 15. A guide tongue 17 projects upwardly from the transverse piece 7. At a joint between adjacent segments, Fig. 7, transverse half-pieces 8a are cast into each segment and each segment has a special end link 11.
