Abstract

1367905 Desizing and scouring F M C CORP 19 Aug 1971 [21 Aug 1970] 15204/74 Divided out of 1367904 Heading D1P Greige goods, e.g. cotton goods are desized and scoured by saturating the goods with an aqueous solution of a caustic alkali and a peroxydisphosphate, the goods picking up from 0.25 to 1.0% of their weight of peroxydiphosphate and from 0.5 to 6% of their weight of caustic alkali, holding the goods, and washing the goods with water to remove the chemicals and dissolved matter. The process may take place at temperatures from 150‹F-275‹F and under pressure.
