Abstract

1367685 Matrix displays OWENS-ILLINOIS Inc 1 Sept 1971 [1 Sept 1970] 40712/71 Heading G5C A binary addressable system for a gas discharge display/memory panel comprises a plurality of transformers for row and column conductors of the panel, each transformer having its primary winding P 1 magnetically coupled to a number of secondary windings S 1 , S<SP>1</SP> 1 , Z 1 , each secondary being connectible to a a row or column conductor, a matrix logic circuit 14, 15 for selectively pulsing the primary windings and means for applying sustain potential to selected secondary windings. The primary windings are arranged in a matrix between conductor arrays R, C. The primary and secondary windings are stacked in rows.
