Abstract

1367228 Watchband connectors BRITE INDUSTRIES Inc 25 July 1972 34830/72 Heading E2A An adjustable end connector for attaching a watchband to a watch case of the type having spaced lugs extending outwardly from the case with a mounting pin 16 extending from one lug to the other, including means for connection to the watchband, comprises a spring tongue 28 movable between an open and a closed position whereby movement of the tongue to its open position permits the connector to be mounted on the mounting pin, with subsequent movement of the tongue to closed position serving to maintain the connector so mounted, a pair of end pieces 54 slidably carried by the connector and adapted to at least partially surround the mounting pin when the connector is clipped thereon; the end pieces are moved laterally outward of opposite sides of the connector, and resilient means urge the end pieces outwardly into engagement with the lugs. As shown, the end pieces 54 comprise tubular portions 56 telescopingly received in a tubular portion 44, a spring 76 being disposed between flanges 64 situated between side walls 34. The resilient tongue 28 has a tongue 80 which is depressible to allow the pin 16 to enter the portions 56. A hook 40 engages the watchband.
