Abstract

1366917 Delivering sheets ROLAND OFFSETMASOHINENFABRIK FABER & SCHLEICHER AG 17 Sept 1971 [29 Sept 1970] 43528/71 Heading B8R A sheet delivery device comprises a main stacking table 3, an auxilliary stacking table 6 front sheet abutments 11 movable in synchronism with the arriving sheets to align the sheets and rear sheet stops 8 and 9 which are movable out of the path of the table 6 as it is slid into position. The stops are carried on a transverse bar 104 which is adjustable in the delivery direction on racks 13 and 14 to accommodate sheets of differing sizes. In a forward position, for small sheets, the table 6 abuts the stops before it is fully in position and for this purpose as the stop 9 is pivoted away by engagement with the advancing table a linkage 18, 21, 22 causes the stop 8 to be lowered into engagement with the surface of the table to provide fresh stop means. In alternative embodiments the table 6 is provided with a cam surface which actuates a lever linkage or an electromagnet to pivot the stops 8 into position. The sheets may be delivered by a gripper chain 2 into engagement with front stops 11. A suction braking device 10 comprising suction rollers may be provided.
