Abstract

1366079 Anti-theft cover for towing socket C E FINE-THOMPSON 26 Oct 1971 [24 Nov 1970] 55789/70 Heading B7J An anti-theft cover 13 for a towing coupling mounted on a tractor vehicle comprises a front member 14, side members 15 extending one on each side of the coupling release handle 12, a bottom member 16 covering the coupling socket 11 and a top member 17 covering the handle 12. The cover is retained in position to prevent unauthorized removal by a pin 18 engaging one side plate with its head and protruding beyond the other to receive a padlock in a transverse hole therethrough. As shown, the pin may engage beneath the handle of a suitably shaped coupling or, for other couplings engage some other part thereof.
