Abstract

1365507 Lighting fittings K-S-H Inc 17 May 1971 [18 May 1970] 15333/71 Heading F4R A light-transmitting panel for a luminaire has a lenticular pattern 40 on its lower surface and a system of tapering protuberances 30 on its upper surface, the flat tops 33 of the protuberances being treated to reduce the amount of light passing therethrough. The treated surfaces may be translucent or coated with an opaque layer 35 of paint. The protuberances may be in the form of ribs, pyramids or cones and the sides 31, together with the intermediate surfaces 37, may be clear or roughened to diffuse the light. The lenticules may be part-spherical or partcylindrical, and the protuberances and lenticules may be arranged in the form of concentric squares or rings.
