1363635 Mineral-mining picks PADLEY & VENABLES Ltd 27 Oct 1971 [3 Nov 1970] 52135/70 Heading E1F [Also in Division B3] A tool holder comprises a head 2 which is rebated at 3, 4 to form a seat 3a having an upstanding pin 11 for entering a bore 13 in a tool, e.g. a mineral-mining bit 12 or a lathe tool, when the tool is positioned on the seat. The tool is clamped against the pin when two wedging jaws 16, 17 are caused to move towards each other whilst in contact with the rear face 4 of the rebate and a side face or faces 14, 15 of the tool.
