Abstract

1341651 Cutting tools BOHLER & CO AG Gebr 8 Feb 1972 [25 Feb 1971] 5836/72 Heading B3T A cutting tool comprises a holder 9 and a releasable, reversible apertured cutting insert 1 which is clampable in a recess at the end of the holder by a pivotable clamping pin 3 extending from the holder and engaging in the aperture in the insert. A clamping screw 14 is provided in the holder body and the force of the clamping screw is transmitted to the clamping pin by way of at least two intermediate members located in communicating passages 11, 12 between the screw and the pin in the holder. The intermediate members may be in the form of balls 13 or a ball and wedge member 17 or two co-operating wedge members 17 and 20.
