Abstract

1362020 Submarine hydroplane stops FRANCE ARMED FORCES MINISTER OF 30 Dec 1971 [18 Jan 1971] 60654/71 Headings B7A and B7V A rotation limiting mechanism of a submarine hydroplane 9 comprises a first stop member 17 mounted on structure 15 of the submarine and a second stop member 16 located on rod 7 of hydraulic cylinder assembly 8 which controls the rotation of the hydroplane. The two stop members enage each other to limit the rotation of the hydroplane and the position of stop 17 is adjustable by screw 18 coupled to motor 19 so as to vary the amount of rotation of the hydroplane permitted by the stops. The orientation of the hydroplane is unchanged if stop 17 is adjusted with the two stops out of engagement.
