1361426 Containers MITSUBISHI DENKI KK 30 Sept 1971 [30 Sept 1970] 45647/71 Headings F4U and F4P A heat insulated container of double wall structure, and in particular a cryogenic container suitable for accommodating cryogenic devices such as superconductor electromagnets, includes insulating support members 30 firmly sandwiched in the gap between the inner and outer walls 10, 12, each member comprising a stock of laminations of heat insulating material The gap is evacuated. The stock contains fibrous material alternating with solid material, for example nylon fibre and a metallized plastics film. The inner wall 10 is of stainless steel and the outer wall of either stainless steel or aluminium alloy. A heat shield 36 may be disposed around the inner container wall 10.
