Abstract

1361286 Dolls ROVEX Ltd 4 Aug 1972 [6 May 1971] 13501/71 Heading A6S A doll incorporates an electrically operated sound producing device 5 which is under the control of pressure sensitive switches 6, 10, &c., so arranged in parallel that when either is pressed the sound producing device operates, and when released the sound producing device stops. As shown, a lidded cavity 4 in the resilient plastics body of a doll houses a disktype sound producing device 5 and a battery (not shown). The switch 6 is actuated by a lever 8 behind the solar plexus of the doll. When the solar plexus is tickled, the switch 6 is closed and the sound operating device operates, e.g. to emit a laughing noise. The switch 10, in parallel with the switch 6, may similarly be closed by tickling the sole of one ofthe doll's feet to cause the doll to laugh. A further switch may be mounted in an armpit. The sound producing device 5 may alternatively be of the tape type.
