Abstract

1360413 Locks MOTOROLA INC 8 Sept 1971 [11 Sept 1970] 41793/71 Heading E2A A radio, tape-recorder &c 10 is secured arid locked to a vehicle dash-board 11 having a support bracket 13 inside it, by means of a lock body 45 secured through the base 21 of the appliance and having, connected by pin 42 to its barrel, a threaded bolt 29 projecting up through a hole in the top cover 19 and also the dash. A threaded sleeve 25 having a head resting on the bracket and longitudinal slots (59) engaged by projecting tongues (57) on the top cover to prevent its rotation. To secure the appliance, the sleeve is inserted downwardly through the hole in the bracket and into a sleeve 61 passing into the appliance, and the lock barrel is rotated by the key 40 to engage the threads. In the form shown in Fig. 5, the threaded sleeve is divided into two parts 63, 65 joined by a step so that guide-pins 75 prevent both rotating.
