Abstract

1359721 Knitting-machines; take-down FOUQUET-WERK FRAUZ & PLANCK 2 Sept 1971 41074/71 Heading D1C The take-down device of a circular machine comprises at least two spaced rollers 14, 15 arranged to be wrapped over half their total periphery by a fabric 1 which is urged against the last roller by a spring urged roller 16 engaging it in the vicinity of the point B3 where it leaves the roller. The rollers are driven by levers 23, 24 through over-running clutches 25, 26 on the shafts 19, 20 and via springs 31, 32 housed in the rollers and attached to the shafts and rollers. The levers may be oscillated by a cam ring (46 Fig. 4 not shown). The rollers may also be geared together. Tension on the fabric may be released during long stoppages by counter-rotating one roller by means of a lever.
