Abstract

135,898. Jacob & Co., W. & R., and Purdy, W. J. Nov. 21, 1918. Drawings to Specification. Perforated-tube and like multiple-jet burners.- Tubular gaseous-fuel burners for use in biscuitmaking ovens, and, according to the Provisional Specification, to other heating-chambers of considerable longitudinal dimensions, are provided with perforations or saw-cuts varying in size and so proportioned in respect to the pressure in the burner tube that a uniform flame length and intensity is obtained. The perforations may be elongated. The saw-cuts may be cut longitudinally in the tube or at an angle to the axis, and may be in discontinuous lengths. The position, number, and dimensions of the perforations of a particular burner tube are stated in the Specification as an example. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 14476/98 and 23558/03, [both in Class 126, Stoves &c.], and 4490/10.
