1357642 Hydrostatic steering mechanism DANFOSS AS 26 Aug 1971 [9 Sept 1970] 40038/71 Heading B7H Hydrostatic steering mechanism comprises two control devices 4, 10 connected in parallel to a steering motor 19 and each including a control valve and a control motor actuated by a common steering column, one control device 4 being connected to the column 27 through a slipping clutch 25 which slips if the mechanism is actuated manually so that only one control motor operates and the manual effort required is correspondingly reduced. The control device 4 may be of a larger size than the device 10. As shown the control devices 4, 10 are supplied through non-return valves 3, 9 by respective pumps 1, 7 matched to the size of the control devices but a single pump may supply both devices through a flow divider. Relief valves 22, 23 are connected across the steering motor 19. More than two control devices may be provided.
