Abstract
1393289 Controlling pumps KRAUSSMAFFEI AG 24 Aug 1972 [15 Sept 1971] 39541/72 Heading F1A A plurality of different flow rates are obtained from two or more pumps 1,2 of different outputs by selectively connecting the pumps individually or in combination to the utility line 8 using valves 3,4 and 18, further flow rates being obtained by the use of a by-pass line with flow restrictors 13 and 14 which can be used individually or in combination under the control of valves 11, 12. Pressure-relief valves 5, 6 and 16, and isolating check valves 9, 10 and 17 are provided. The pump outputs may be in the ratio 1:4 or 1:2 and the flow restricts dimensional to by-pass 10% and 40% or 8<SP>1</SP>/ 3 % and 16<SP>2</SP>/ 3 % respectively of the maximum pump output.
