Abstract

1,111,637. Power steering arrangements. DANFOSS A.S. 22 Feb., 1967 [5 March, 1966], No. 8370/67. Heading B7H. In an hydraulic circuit including a hydrostatic steering device 6 in series with at least one control valve 8 for a further hydraulic device for the actuation of a working appliance, the steering device 6 and each valve being bypassed by respective pressure relief valves 22, 23, a non-return valve 25 is provided in the inlet line to the steering device 6, the pressure relief valve 22 by-passing both the steering device 6 and the non-return valve 25. The arrangement prevents a " knock " at the steering wheel when the valve 8 is reset to its neutral position while the steering is operative. The circuit includes a pump 2 which may be provided with a pressure relief valve 24 and the steering wheel 15 controls the device 6 which measures and directs pressure fluid to the ends of the steering servo-cylinder 12.
