Abstract
1357610 Wells &c TEXACO DEVELOPMENT CORP 1 Oct 1971 45712/71 Heading E1F Hydrocarbons are recovered from a calcareous formation by injecting through at least one injection well a dilute hydrochloric acid having a concentration of hydrogen chloride of 0.05 per cent to 5.00 per cent by weight and by producing hydrocarbons from one production well. The hydrocarbons may be driven by more of the acid or by water. In a modification slugs of dilute hydrochloric acid having a size of “ to 1¢ pore volumes of the formation alternate with slugs of water.
