Abstract
1439735 Fracturing wells TEXACO DEVELOPMENT CORP 17 Sept 1974 40400/74 Heading E1F An underground formation is fractured by injecting a fluid containing fume silica having a surface area of from 50 to 400 m<SP>2</SP>/g and a particle size from 7 to 15 mÁ. The fluid may be water, hydrocarbon or a mixture thereof. Examples of conventional additives which may be added to the fracturing fluid are described.
