Abstract

1357215 Umbrella cases SCHIRMFABRIK KARL-MARX-STADT VEB 30 June 1971 30676/71 Heading A4P A case having no fastening strip and no carrying strap, for shortenable umbrellas having a circular or rectangular collapsed crosssection, has an elongate hollow body 4 with oppositely disposed and inwardly directed resilient pleated assemblies 5 extending in the longitudinal direction of the body 4 from its insertion aperture, reinforcing elements 7, 9 being provided on the end of body 4 at the insertion aperture and around the opposite end of the body 4. The reinforcing elements 7 do not extend into the region of the pleated assemblies 5. The case may be folded in half owing to the provision of a thinner wall section 14 of body 4. The outer surface of body 4 may be divided by longitudinal markings into panels having an imitation leather finish.
