Ornamenting.-A process for finishing toys consists in first coating the surface of the article with glue or other adhesive, then sprinkling sand, stone, brickdust, or the like on the adhesive and afterwards painting or otherwise decorating the toy in colours to give it a natural or realistic appearance. The adhesive, sand, and colouring matter may be sprayed successively on to the surface of the toy by means of ejecting-apparatus worked by compressed air &c.
