Abstract

1356663 Portable wrench; portable drill ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 24 Aug 1971 [25 Aug 1970] 39538/71 Headings B3N and B3C A hand held machine tool, e.g. a drill, a percussion drill or .a screwdriver is driven by an electric motor in a casing through a gear transmission 3, a lug 11 adapted for connection to a handle being formed on an intermediate flange 6 located forwardly of the motor and supporting a front bearing of the shaft 7 of the motor and at least one rear bearing of a shaft of the gear transmission, the casing 9 of the transmission being detachably connected to the flange. The handle consists of'two complementary shells 13, 14 formed of synthetic material. Shell 13 is attached by a screw 23 to key 11 which has a threaded hole 12; shell 14 is attached to shell 13. A cable 15 is attached to the handle and the leads thereof run in shell extensions 13<SP>1</SP>, 14<SP>1</SP> into a cap consisting of interlocking shells 20, 21 housing a reversing switch 22. Removal of the handle and fitment of another cap to take the.supply cable and the switch enable the tool to be used without the handle.
