Abstract

135,431. Dane, M. May 15, 1919. Lacing-fastenings.- A device for securing the laces of boots, shoes, &c. comprises a base-plate a, Fig. 3, and a clamping member 'd hinged together, the plate a having two eyelet holes b through which the ends of the lace are passed and then tied in a bow, the clamping member being provided on its under surface with a pair of serrated projections e, Fig. 2, which correspond with the eyelet holes b when the plates are closed. The plates are fastened together in closed position by a screwed pin j, Fig. 2, which passes through apertures i in flanges in the plates into a piece of metal k; or, as shown in Fig. 3, a looped projection f on the plate a passes through a slot g in the plate d and receives a pin.
