Abstract

1354161 Rotary elevators SIEMAG SIEGENER MASCHINENBAU GmbH 19 April 1971 [7 March 1970] 23361/71 Heading B8A A spoked-wheel conveying means comprises spoked-wheels 1 (only one of which is shown) mounted on a rotatable shaft 2, each wheel 1 consisting of four spoke segments 5 whose base parts 8 are attached to a boss 3 fixed to the shaft 2 by means of a first connecting bolt 12 and a longitudinally divided stressing bolt 13. Each bolt 13 comprises a wedge 17 which is inserted between the inclined surfaces of a recess 16 formed between the upper and lower parts 14 of the bolt 13, said wedge being displaceable axially by means of a stressing nut 18 which bears through a thrust plate 19 against the end face of the bolt 13. In an alternative embodiment not shown, the wedge 17 may be displaced by means of a further wedge which is inserted between the end face of the bolt 13 and a formation on the wedge 17 which is spaced from the said end face of the bolt 13.
