1307797 Mounting a bearing race on a drum POLYSIUS AG 19 April 1971 [2 April 1970] 24645/71 Heading F2V A substantially rectangular solid cross-section bearing ring 1 for a drum 4 has in its bore radially inwardly extending teeth 2, e.g. of rectangular cross-section, e.g. extending axially for at least 0À5 and preferably between 0À6 and 0À75 of the axial length of the ring. To locate the ring the drum may have pads 5 between the teeth 2 and rings 8, 9 welded thereto. There may also be tapered keys (6, 7), Fig. 2 (not shown) inserted axially between the teeth and the pads 5 to locate and lock the ring circumferentially of the drum.
