1353415 Plaited ropes COLUMBIAN ROPE CO 20 Aug 1971 [21 Aug 1970] 39168/71 Headings D1K and D1T A plaited rope, e.g. for mooring an oceanographic buoy, comprises a plurality of strands 4 of substantially parallel yarns 8 enclosed in braided tubular covers 10. The yarns may be of nylon or polyester. "Substantially parallel" means that the yarns are not twisted together with more than 0.9 twists per foot. The strands may incorporate electrical conductors.
