1352679 Boxes LIN PAC PLASTICS Ltd 19 July 1971 [30 July 1970] 36940/70 Heading B8P A box comprising a base 1 and a lid 4 is held closed by means of a flap 6 on the lid which is folded over around a flange 2 of the base and rests on a ledge 3 formed beneath the flange 2. The flap 6 extends from a flange 5 on the lid and has hinge lines 7, 8, 9 enabling a tab port 10 of reduced width to be inserted in the slot above the ledge 3. The box is opened by applying pressure to the base 1 beneath the recess 3. In modifications, two or more tabs 10 of reduced width may be formed on the flap 6 and two or more ledges 3 in the base 1; the cut-out above the ledge 3 may be replaced by a slot beneath the flange 2; or the ledge 3 may be formed by a second flange beneath the flange 2. The lid 4 may be hinged to the base 1, as shown, or may be separate, in which case two closure members are provided on opposite sides.
