1352438 Locks POHLSCHRODER & CO KG 6 July 1971 31531/71 Heading E2A A strong box lock 1 comprises a slide bolt 6 and a change-over toggle 9 connected thereto whereby when the bolt is actuated from a locking position in an unlocking direction by means of a client's key the toggle works on a spring-loaded control bolt 11 of a control device 8 through the intermediary of a detent 10 to move the control bolt in the locking direction from a non-active position to a control position and at the end of the unlocking operation to its non-active position, a stop 13 on a slidable bar 14 for lifting the detent the bar being actuable with a special key insertable in the same client's keyhole, in such a way that, independently of any movement of the slide bolt and the control bolt, the detent is raised and thereby puts the conrol bolt out of action when the slide bolt of the client's lock is actuated to an unlocking direction. A keeper box 15, adapted to co-operate with the lock, comprises a first hole 16 for the slide bolt and a second hole 17 for the control bolt, an electro-magnet 2 with a movable blocking bar 18, and a make-and-break contact 19, all arranged in the keeper box in such a way that when the electro-magnet is not excited the blocking bar remains in the blocking position over the hole 17, but when the electromagnet is excited this hole is unblocked, the make-and-break contact, which is operated by the control bolt when the hole 17 is unblocked being disposed adjacent the blocking bar and over the hole 17. In the event of electric power failure, the sliding bar 14 is moved back by an official's special key to raise the detent 10 so that when the bolt 6 is operated with the client's key there is no longer a simultaneous actuation of the control bolt 11 via the detent 10.
