1351612 Blast furnace hearths THOMAS MARSHALL & CO (LOXLEY) Ltd 6 Aug 1971 [18 Aug 1970] 39726/70 Heading F4B In a method of laying the floor of a blast furnace hearth, a number of reference tiles or blocks are laid at spaced intervals and bridged by a straight edge to indicate the height to which intermediate tiles or blocks should be laid. The method utilizes an optical device 12 mounted on three equally spaced arms 16 with levelling screws 18. Said device is sighted on a rod 24 placed in turn on each reference member, all of which are adjusted to the same height.
