Abstract
1351471 Powder cloud generator XEROX CORP 19 April 1971 [16 March 1970] 23734/71 Heading G2H A powder cloud generator comprises a support 22 which rotates to present successive tonerfilled apertures 24 at the bottom of a tube 44, the powder being drawn through the tube 44 to form a cloud. As shown, pressurized gas is blown through a nozzle 59 adjacent the top of tube 44 to draw air through porous bases 26 of apertures 24. A blade 38 controls the filling of the apertures 24 as the support 22 rotates. The cloud is preferably received in a development chamber containing a grid electrode and held in pressure-tight contact with a xerographic plate by inflated elements.
