Abstract
1349464 Coating with iron oxide; coating glass during manufacture PPG INDUSTRIES Inc 28 Sept 1971 [29 Sept 1970] 45061/71 Headings C1A and C1M [Also in Division C7] A substrate 2 of, e.g. metal, glass, ceramic or plastics is coated with a semi-conductor, metal, metal oxide or nitride by decomposition of a vapour fed from a slit-shaped orifice 1 whilst moving the substrate over the slit. The substrate may be a continuous strip. In an example, Fe 2 O 3 is deposited on glass strip 2, at 400‹ C., from iron acetylacetonate using hot air as a carrier gas.
