Abstract

1349083 Hydraulic reciprocating motors FRIEDRICH UHDE GmbH 19 April 1971 [12 March 1970] 23915/71 Heading F1A An hydraulic reciprocating motor comprises a reversing valve 1 controlling the supply to and exhaust from opposite ends of a cylinder 2, the reversing valve being changed over by liquid directed to alternate actuating chambers 4 by respective spring-loaded pilot valves 3, 3' actuated at the ends of each stroke by members carried by the piston rod. In the neutral position of the valves 1, 3, 3' shown, springs in the valves 3, 3' cause both chambers 4 to be isolated. On displacement of say the valve 3', the right hand chamber 4 and the actuating chamber of the valve 3 become pressurised from a source S. Thus the valve 3 is moved upwardly against the action of its spring, whereby the left hand chamber 4 and the actuating chamber of the valve 3' are connected to a return R. This causes the valve 1 to reverse, valve 3' being maintained displaced by its spring. In Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown), two motors operate in parallel with their lines V<SP>1</SP> interconnected.
