Abstract

1348864 Release-coated products WACKERCHEMIE GmbH 28 April 1972 [7 May 1971] 19783/72 Heading B2E A release coating is provided on a film made from a mixture of a bituminous substance and a polymer by applying to the film surface a pulverulent resin which has a softening point of 60-170‹C and which is miscible with the mixture at this temperature. The pulverulent resin may be of PVC, polystyrene, ABS resin, polyethylene, polymethacrylate, or vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer or may be a coumarone-indene, polyindene, lignin-sulphonic acid or resol-type phenolic resin. The bitumen of the substrate may be obtained from petroleum residues or may be a pitch obtained by the distillation of coal-tar. The polymer of the substrate may be ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, natural rubber, a synthetic rubber such as ethylene-propylene, ethylene-propylenediene, polybutadiene, butadiene-styrene, isoprene, chloroprene or acrylonitrile rubber, or mixtures of these rubbers with each other or with polyethylene ,polypropylene, PVC, polyvinylidene chloride or polystyrene.
