1348852 Hydrostatic transmissions ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 11 May 1972 [12 May 1971] 22082/72 Heading F2D In a hydrostatic transmission in which an adjustable pump 1 supplies a motor 5 through a line 4, an increase in pressure in line 4 above a set value causes a valve 8 to move against the action of a spring 25 (which fixes the set value) and so put a duct 9 into communication with the duct 4 (via ducts 21 and 24) which by applying pressure through a control device 10 having a throttle 11 in parallel with a piston 13 alters pump displacement to reduce the flow rate. The presence of the piston 13 with identical springs 14 and 15 on either side of it causes a greater initial adjustment of the pump than would otherwise be the case, the piston being displaced by the differential pressure across the throttle 11.
