Abstract

1348753 Stud and socket fastenings A RAYMOND 5 July 1972 [12 July 1971] 31372/72 Headings E2A and E2B A fastening element made of plastics material comprises a spring leg 8 extending to a rounded nose 5 and connected to a head and to a deflectable spring leg 7 integral with the nose, the legs having shoulders which in use bear upon an edge of an opening to secure the fastening, the spring legs being unequal in length and each has an outwardly an inwardly extending part and is stiffened by an inwardly extending extension which is offset from the other extension. Each leg has a groove 15 in the surface 14 of the extension. The head part may be variously shaped as a cable clip a decorative strip retainer or a turn button retainer.
