Abstract
1348634 Fluidised bed apparatus and process BUELL Ltd 19 April 1971 [19 March 1970] 13229/70 Heading B1F [Also in Division F4] Distortion of fluidised bed hollow base plate 11 due to excessive heating is prevented by passing cold air between its upper and lower plates 16 and 17 respectively. The cold air is provided by fan 25 which also feeds air to combustion chamber 13. Cold air from the base plate 11 is mixed with gases from combustion chamber 13 and passes through pipe 27, chamber 26 and nozzles 18 into the fluidised bed. The apparatus may be used for drying, roasting or calcining.
