Abstract

1348596 Mixing apparatus DETROIT TOOL & ENG CO 30 March 1972 [15 April 1971] 14998/72 Heading B1C [Also in Division B8] Apparatus for mixing the dry ingredients of a cement mix and pneumatically discharging them (to a cement gun) comprises a detachable hopper 13 having in the base thereof a rotatable annular bowl 16 comprising a ring of U- shaped pockets 18 which fill from the hopper through a shoot 37 and are discharged by passage under a pressure air pipe 49 and a discharge pipe 50 (see also Fig. 4, not shown). The bowl is covered by a hood 35, 38 to which is connected a suction pipe (60) to prevent leakage of air laden with cement dust. An accelerator may be added through a pipe 74 which discharges immediately above the bowl, the accelerator being metered from a hopper (70, Fig. 6, not shown) by a pocket wheel (72) synchronized with the bowl 16. A detachable post 33 carries pairs of agitator arms 34, 42.
