Abstract

1346852 Lamps LASER ELECTRONICS PTY Ltd 25 May 1971 16768/71 Heading F4R A lighthouse lamp which emits a rotating beam comprises a rotatable housing 14 having a vertical passage, a fixed laser 10 arranged to project a light beam axially through the passage, a beam-expanding diverging lens 15, a cylindrical fan lens 17 and a collimating lens 16 all mounted within the passage, a plane mirror 19 mounted on the housing to redirect the beam in the horizontal direction, and means for adjusting the lenses 16 and 17 axially of the passage. The emitted beam is of elliptical cross-section with its major axis vertical, and a screen may be fitted to mask the beam over a limited arc, the rate of rotation over this ard being increased if desired.
