Abstract

1346569 Active carbon filter AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS Ltd 7 July 1971 [7 July 1970 26 April 1971] 32892/70 and 11379/71 Heading B1D A rigid moulded and annular filter body 23 comprising active carbon granules bonded together is enclosed between inner and outer tubes 11, 12 of perforate or expanded metal which are welded to end cap 10, the other end cap 13 being demountably secured to tube 12 by wire 17 extending through aligned holes in the tube and in part 16 of the cap. Felt washers 24 separate body 23 from the caps, and pleated paper filter elements 20 surround tube 12. The whole assembly is designed for inward flow filtration and used in a housing (not shown) to filter dry cleaning fluid.
